FRAX Laser Resurfacing
Laser skin resurfacing remains one of the most effective non-surgical treatments for rejuvenating aged or damaged skin. At Ana Csere Skin Care, we proudly offer advanced laser options to address a variety of concerns, including fine lines, wrinkles, pigmentation, and scarring.
The Frax laser provides a gentler, non-ablative alternative that’s ideal for treating delicate areas such as the face, neck, and chest. It’s safe for all skin types and tones, delivering beautiful results with less downtime compared to traditional CO₂ lasers—making it a versatile and patient-friendly option for radiant, renewed skin.
OUR FRAX SKIN RESURFACING
The Candela Frax Pro is the most advanced option for non-ablative skin resurfacing, featuring dual laser wavelengths—1550 nm and 1940 nm—to treat multiple layers of the skin. The 1550 nm wavelength targets deeper skin layers to improve texture, fine lines, and acne scars, while the 1940 nm wavelength focuses on the skin’s surface to address tone, pigmentation, and overall brightness. Together, they stimulate collagen production and rejuvenate the skin from within. At Ana Csere Skin Care in Boca Raton we offer Frax Pro treatments to help men and women achieve smoother, clearer, and more youthful-looking skin with minimal downtime.

FRAX FAQ'S
IS LASER SKIN RESURFACING SAFE?
Absolutely! As with any medical or cosmetic procedure, it’s essential to see a licensed and properly trained medical professional. During your appointment, your provider will review your medical history and carefully assess the treatment area. This helps ensure you receive the most effective care while also understanding any potential risks or considerations specific to your skin.
WHAT IS FRAXEL LASER SKIN RESURFACING?
Reword: Traditionally laser skin resurfacing has been achieved using a highly specialized carbon dioxide laser (CO2 laser) that targets water molecules in the skin. Using a CO2 laser, 100% of the skin's surface cells are removed, and fresh, new skin cells grow in their place. The laser also stimulates collagen production, resulting in clearer, brighter, plumper skin that is visibly improved over time. Fraxel lasers work the same way -- the energy they deliver targets only 25-40% of the skin cells at a time. The new, healthier skin grows over the areas which are left intact, and the downtime and redness are greatly reduced. This process allows a much wider range of patients to be treated, but it does require a series of treatments to achieve optimal results.
We are proud to offer both CO2 and Fraxel laser treatments in our office, ensuring that we can meet all of our patients’ needs using the best laser skin resurfacing techniques. Both options can be utilized for an array of different conditions and can reduce and drastically improve the appearance of lines, wrinkles, scars, and age spots.
WHAT IS THE LASER SKIN RESURFACING RECOVERY PERIOD?
Reword The recovery period for any laser resurfacing is largely dependent upon the amount of treatment that you need and the severity of your situation. For mild treatments, your healing period should last approximately 2 weeks, and that includes time away from work. In general, with Fraxel laser treatments, it is suggested that you avoid using makeup for 1-2 days and keep your skin well-moisturized and protected from the sun.
WHAT TO EXPECT AT A LASER SKIN RESURFACING APPOINTMENT
Once your skin is thoroughly cleansed, a topical anesthetic will be applied to numb the area and ensure your comfort throughout the procedure. After the numbing cream takes effect, it will be removed, and protective laser shields will be placed over your eyes. A full-face treatment, including part of the neck, typically takes about 45-60 minutes. Following the procedure, a medicated balm will be applied to hydrate the skin and support healing.
